Barnes
and Jones Steam Traps
Barnes
and Jones steam traps come with over 100 years of experience.
The company was founded in 1897 by Walter Barnes and
Bill Jones. In 1902 they introduced a highly successful
thermostatic steam trap. Later on, they pioneered one-piece
calibrated repair kits for Barnes and Jones steam traps
that had finally started to fail due to continuous use
(having lasted for two decades!). These one-piece repair
kits were given the name “Cage Unit” and became a recognized
standard in the steam heating repair kit market. This
made repairing Barnes and Jones steam traps as easy
as changing a light bulb. Within a year of introducing
the “Cage Unit” insert, Barnes and Jones expanded their
Cage Unit repair kit line to repair steam traps produced
by other manufacturers.
Barnes
and Jones manufactures 100% calibrated Cage Units for
every heating steam trap body ever made. They also manufacture
all sorts of top quality Barnes and Jones steam traps,
including steam traps for low and moderate pressure
service. Their product line is heavily focused on (but
not limited to) thermostatic steam traps and float and
thermostatic steam traps.
